Wednesday, October 18, 2000: Those
who have been "easing in" over the
last week or week and a half will already be
making gains on what were relatively low average
prices on this sector. There continues to be
room for decent moves to the upside, and those
who haven't yet gotten into this sector still
have time to participate in this upmove.
Additionally, if the overall market does bottom
and start turning up while this sector is still
making its move, it could have enough momentum
to break out of the trading range it's been in
since late July, and biotech would still likely
be a nice place to be.
Tuesday, October 10, 2000: Getting
stronger buys than last week. The stocks are
starting to line up. Continue easing in.
Wednesday, October 4, 2000: Biotech
continued its downmove from what we said was
close to a top and looks like it's probably
bottomed. The sector appears to be split,
however, such that a broader index of biotechs
will be moving up (read: weak buy on sector),
but many of the stocks are out of synch, so some
individual stocks will be moving up while others
stagnate or decline. We should get a
full-fledged buy before the whole sector makes a
strong upmove.
