Industry Calls Archives: Semiconductors - November 2000
Semiconductors
Thursday, November 30, 2000:  We believe that we are now close enough to absolute lows, particularly in the semiconductor and computer areas, to buy now and participate in virtually all upside, while risking very, very little on the downside.
Tuesday, November 21, 2000:  As semiconductor indices closed near 52 week lows today, the sector continues to build strength and is closer to turning back upwards.

Monday, November 20, 2000:  Semiconductors have been building strength for a turnaround for some time now and continue to do so. We've got bullish signals on a little less than two-thirds of the stocks in this sector, but are not expecting significant strength until this improves somewhat, which should be relatively soon.

Monday, November 13, 2000:  Despite indications of up to 10-15% more downside in the NASDAQ and in several tech-related sectors, semiconductors seem to have reached a stronger base, and their strength today throughout a 5% selloff in the broader tech markets appears to support that.
