Industry Calls Archives: Internet - November 2000
Internets
Tuesday, November 21, 2000:  We've got signals today on over half of the 17 internet stocks we track, implying that this sector may begin turning up sooner than we thought. Some areas of the internets should be significantly stronger than others, however, with portals (like yhoo and insp) and B2B
(like arba, cmgi, and vert) stocks showing more strength than most of the e-commerce and other internets.

Monday, November 20, 2000:  The internets, also, appear to be readying for an upmove. We have bullish signals on 13 of the 14 internet stocks that we track, and two-thirds of these are bottom-level (or strength level 5) signals. Several sub-sectors of this group have come down more than 50%. Internets then put in a strong bottom on October 18th and after bouncing more than 40%, have returned to those October levels, but support is expected to hold at or near these levels. We do not specifically have a buy on this sector yet, and it may take a while to turn around, but we believe current levels are a great place to get in, particularly for the leadership stocks in this area.

Monday, November 13, 2000:  Bearish implications on overall technology sectors….
