Industry Calls Archives: Oil Services - March 2001
Oil Services
Thursday - Friday, March 22-23, 2001: Buy. This sector has come down nearly 15% from the high after our last sell call 2 weeks ago. We now have strong bullish signals on all of the stocks we follow in this sector, over half of which came today. As such, we
expect to see prices moving back up shortly.

Wednesday, March 7, 2001: Overall market weakness expected.

Sell. About 2 weeks ago, we predicted that this industry would turn back up towards the high end of the trading range it has been in since last September. Since that time, prices in this sector are up about 7% and back to within about 1% or so of the top of its trading range. With bearish signals on about two-thirds of the stocks we follow in this industry and a sell on one of the tracking stocks for this sector, we believe that prices will not go much higher and should start turning down shortly.
